Modern Slavery Act statement
Contractor CORE Limited is committed to ensuring modern slavery is not present in its supply chains and has introduced, and will continue to develop, policy and procedures to manage the way it obtains goods and services to keep its supply chains robust.
We recognise that modern slavery is a crime and a violation of fundamental human rights. It takes various forms, such as slavery, servitude, forced and compulsory labour and human trafficking. Traffickers and slave drivers coerce, deceive and force individuals against their will into a life of abuse, servitude and inhumane treatment. A large number of active organised crime groups are involved in modern slavery. But it is also committed by individual opportunistic perpetrators.
We are committed to improving our practices to combat slavery and human trafficking.
Contractor CORE Limited act as an employer and provide payroll management in the temporary worker supply chain. We provide our services to recruitment agencies and end users whilst utilising the services of many locaI partners.
Our supply chain includes the agencies or suppliers that employees of Contractor CORE Limited seek work through. In addition, we procure services and goods from third party suppliers to assist with the operation of our business day to day. We require our suppliers to comply with the Modern Slavery Act 2015 and expect each entity in the chain to, at least, adopt ‘one-up’ due diligence on the next link in the chain. It is not practical for us (and every other participant in the chain) to have a direct relationship with all links in the chain). We are committed to ensuring that there is no modern slavery or human trafficking in our supply chains or in any part of our business. As part of our initiative to identify and mitigate risk we have in place systems to:
• Ensure we hold the correct information for each worker
• Verify a worker’s ID and right to work in the UK before they start working with us
• Ensure our employees operate under a Contract of employment with guaranteed income levels in line with National Minimum Wage
• Provide statutory worker rights and pay to all our employees
• Protect whistle-blowers and encourage the reporting of any concerns or breaches so that they can be dealt with appropriately in accordance with our policies and procedures.
To ensure a high level of understanding of the risks of modern slavery and human trafficking in our supply chains and our business, we provide training to ensure steps can be taken to minimise the risk of modern slavery occurring. Contractor CORE’s staff understand the need to report any concerns they may have.
